The diluted weighted average number of outstanding shares was 13,320,772,626 in 4Q11, compared with 13,378,728,208 shares in 3Q11 and 12,576,463,301 shares in 4Q10. The fully diluted share count on December 31, 2011 was approximately 14,260,187,000. On December 31, 2011, UMC held 458 million treasury shares acquired from the 13th and 14th share buy-back programs.
