March 23, 2011 -- Longmont, CO – Digital Data Services, Inc. (DDS), a leading provider of geospatial information management solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of David L. Drake to the position of Director of Business Development. Mr. Drake has over 25 years experience in marketing, sales, and business development for high technology companies. In his new role at DDS, he will focus on developing strategic business relationships, identifying new market opportunities, and introducing new products and services to meet the needs of public agencies and private companies for accurate and cost-effective digital imaging and information management systems. Prior to joining DDS, Mr. Drake spent several years in venture capital and new business creation as an entrepreneur and advisor to small business owners seeking to develop and commercialize technology. In Colorado, Mr. Drake has worked with numerous state and local agencies in addition to serving as Executive Director of University License Equity Holdings Inc., a non-profit affiliate of the University of Colorado in charge of creating spin-out companies from the university’s research enterprise. Mr. Drake received a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard University.
