MapELEMENTS provides new depth of intelligence on network coverage information
MEMPHIS, Tenn. & ORLANDO, Fla. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — March 22, 2011 — CTIA WIRELESS 2011, Booth 3665 -- American Roamer, the worldwide mapping intelligence source for the mobile and network ecosystem, today announced the launch of MapELEMENTS, the first cloud-based interactive mapping application that aggregates network coverage information for the wireless, cable and telecom ecosystem.
MapELEMENTS contains more than 5,000 layers of detailed information on the wireless, cable and telecom industries in the United States. The application allows users to view and analyze this intelligence easily within one platform, empowering strategic decision makers to geographically visualize how different data sets relate to clients, competitors, assets or industry influencers.
“MapELEMENTS gives industry decision makers the intelligence to make sound business decisions, acquire and retain customers and execute with a solid information base,” said Bryan Darr, president and CEO of American Roamer. “With the lines blurring between communications services providers, the emergence of 4G, and the increasing strains on bandwidth, this visual tool provides timely information to help users make key decisions in a rapidly changing environment.”
Geographically representing data is an enormous challenge and few decision-makers have GIS software and training, which in turn requires additional resources to create printed maps or presentation images. MapELEMENTS makes overlapping data sets understandable and easy to work with and provides powerful mapping functionality directly to decision-makers.
In addition, collecting data to make strategic business decisions can be a time consuming, difficult and expensive process, and coverage maps and associated attribute data did not previously exist in one platform.
The easy-to-use interface enables the flexibility to create and save custom maps for an individual experience with tailored snapshots of any combination of chosen data. Rendering spatial intelligence quickly, the application uses a cutting-edge layering system that allows users to reorder and change the transparency of each individual coverage pattern. Advanced search and filtering functions provide the capability to quickly select the layers and display them on the map.
MapELEMENTS includes options to purchase any combination of modules to fit specific needs. Module options include wireless coverage patterns, wireless licenses, cable and television network footprints, thematic analysis layers, landline wire center boundaries, rate center boundaries and area code footprints. American Roamer collaborates with MediaBiz and GeoResults to provide insights and data for the video and telephony modules, respectively. MediaBiz supported American Roamer throughout the development of MapELEMENTS and will be a distributor.
In addition, users can securely incorporate proprietary data and compare it to the MapELEMENTS intelligence. Users can include internal customer segmentation data, network information, retail store locations or other spatial information to improve the ability to easily analyze data as it relates to specific business needs.
American Roamer is demonstrating MapELEMENTS at International CTIA WIRELESS 2011, booth 3665, March 22-24. For more information visit http://www.mapelements.com.
