Intelleflex Corporation Announces Class 3 RFID Developers' Training

SAN JOSE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Apr 11, 2005 -- Intelleflex Corporation, a San Jose-based supplier of radio frequency identification (RFID) products, announced today a developers' training targeted towards end users and system integrators interested in RFID-enabling their asset tacking and nested supply chain applications. Partnering with RFID4U, a world leader in RFID training, Intelleflex will provide a Developers kit bundled with comprehensive, hands-on training, on all aspects of technology required to design and deploy Intelleflex RFID solutions. The Developers' Conference is a two-day event scheduled for June 15-16, 2005 in Chicago, IL.

Intelleflex's semi-active, battery-assisted RFID products offer long range (up to 100 meters in free space) and high read/write reliability ( > 99% in real-world environment), together with a large user memory. These features open up a whole new set of applications that bring tremendous business value, beyond mere identification through unique serialization of good and assets.

"We are excited to be able to offer customers and system integrators the tools to develop enabling applications and deploy them quickly for asset tracking and nested supply chain visibility. It is clear that the optimized configuration of the tags, readers, and antenna; together with integration of the readers into the customers' IT infrastructure, is vital to the success of RFID deployments. By offering this developers training, we want to arm our customers with the knowledge to optimize the configuration of our advanced RFID tags, readers and antenna, and test the applications in real-world environments," said Naresh Batra, CEO of Intelleflex. "By bundling in-depth training at essentially the same price as our developers' kit, we want to make it easy for our customers to take advantage of the training and take back a developers' kit to their companies for further testing," added Batra.

The two-day course includes everything a user needs to get started with Class 3 semi-active technology, including a developer's kit containing Intelleflex's long-range InfoStructure™ tags and InfoBeam™ multi-protocol reader, antennas, required cables and connectors, and a networking host.

The Developers Training will cover:

-- Fundamentals of RFID systems
-- Existing and emerging standards for RFID
-- Classes of RFID tags and readers
-- Comparison of passive, active, and semi-active RFID systems
-- System Design Considerations
-- Functional Block diagram
-- Communications protocol
-- RF Propagation and Antenna types
-- Application Programming Interface (API)
-- Hands-on configuration and operation of the Intelleflex RFID system
-- Real life application examples
