Calgary, Alberta February 17, 2011 -- Valtus Imagery Services, a division of North West Geomatics Ltd. and Intermap Technologies, Inc. announced today that they have entered into a partnership whereby the NEXTMap USA digital surface model (DSM) delivered via web services as a shaded-relief image will be made available through the Valtus distribution and delivery channel.
This product will be accessible through Valtus’ Views: Spatial Data Access Subscription, an ArcXML and WMS service, allowing for real-time streaming of the shaded-relief image directly to the user’s desktop. Valtus customers working with this visualization layer, available for the contiguous United States and Hawaii, can combine it with ortho-imagery, elevation data, vector layers, and other datasets directly into their WMS compatible application. “We believe that this new product offering will be of great benefit to our customers and are very pleased to have completed this business deal with Intermap,” said Tammy Peterson, director of partner strategy and support at Valtus. “Intermap’s NEXTMap USA dataset is unique and an important addition to our current geospatial data offerings.”
“We’re pleased to partner with Valtus and provide users with accurate, shaded-relief images,” said Brian Soliday, director, global partner program, at Intermap Technologies. “These images enable a clear picture of the topography for many applications including hiking, site planning, presentations, and plotting.”
