February 03, 2011 -- Continental Mapping is pleased to announce the opening of a new branch office in Kansas City, Kansas. Led by experienced land surveyor Steve Roberts, this office will first and foremost be dedicated to providing land surveying expertise to our clients to supplement our growing range of surveying and mapping solutions.

Mr. Roberts brings 30 years of land surveying expertise, covering all major aspects of the field, including cadastral and boundary surveying, ground control surveying, bathymetric surveying, and terrestrial lidar surveys. His past work includes the regular integration of these survey datasets with aerial mapping and remote sensing work, making him a great fit for Continental Mapping.

Licensed in nine states, Mr. Roberts is also a Certified Federal Surveyor (CFedS) and is highly experienced providing survey services to the specifications of several federal clients, including the US Army Corps of Engineers, the National Park Service, and the Federal Highway Administration, in addition to his work on survey projects supporting departments of transportation in the Plains states and beyond.
