MIR3 Intelligent Notification Software Adds Location-Based Alerting Capabilities

SAN DIEGO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Nov 09, 2010 -- MIR3, Inc., the innovator of real-time Intelligent Notification™ and response technology, today announced the release of inEnterprise™ 2.20, the latest version of their premier two-way mass notification solution, adding location-based alerting to the list of available features with the new inGIS™ module.

InGIS is a geographical information system (GIS) mapping tool that helps customers target alerts by location, eliminating unnecessary alerts and making it easy to notify only those who need information in the case of regional events, evacuations or threats. It allows notification initiators to select a region, target recipients within the area and track the geographic distribution of responses as they are received. inGIS uses an intuitive mapping interface and selection tools, and allows for public and proprietary graphical map overlays, such as WMS, that include weather patterns, topography, vegetation, underground pipelines and flood plains.

Other enhancements in inEnterprise 2.20 include:

"These enhancements make inEnterprise 2.20 the most flexible and full-featured notification platform on the market today and are the result of direct customer feedback," says Robert Fink, VP of platform technologies for MIR3. "Companies that want to target important messages to people in discrete areas will find inGIS indispensable, as will government agencies or even schools that need to alert citizens or students in specific locations."

MIR3 also enhanced its professional services offerings, creating an "on-demand framework" for users who want to customize their inEnterprise portals. These enhanced services include:
