HOUSTON, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Aug 19, 2010 -- Intergraph has published a new case study that describes how Det Norske Veritas in Brazil (DNV Brazil) used Intergraph PV Elite to complete a vessel design verification project for Petrobras more quickly and with greater accuracy. The project, for a natural gas extraction installation in the Santos Basin, involved verification of heat exchangers, towers, separators, and other vessels according to applicable ASME VIII code standards plus inspections for further certification on 40 vessels under varying degrees of pressure. PV Elite allowed them to fix vessel problems or deviations they uncovered while the vessels were still with manufacturing, avoiding rework on site.
