NASA Awards Architect - Engineer Services Contracts

WASHINGTON, June 29 — (PRNewswire) — NASA has selected AECOM, Washington, DC along with HDR Architecture, Alexandria, VA and SmithGroup, Inc, Washington, DC in response to synopsis 4299303398P2 for Architect and Engineer services posted March 26, 2010. The contracts to be negotiated are Firm-fixed price, Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity.  The total cumulative value for all orders placed under the three contracts is $15,000,000.

The services will be performed at Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), Greenbelt, MD, Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, VA and GSFC satellite facilities, which are facilities containing assets for which GSFC is responsible, such as remote tracking stations.

The basic requirement includes providing Engineering and Special Studies, Preliminary Engineering Reports, Final Design, and Follow On-Construction Services for Technical and/or Discrete Facilities Design. Technical design projects are defined as mission critical facilities such as Cleanrooms, Laboratories, Central Power Plant and Operations, Mission Operations and Range Operations facilities.  Discrete design projects are any projects, regardless of technical complexity, that have a construction value greater than $10M.

The ordering period for all contracts will be five years after the date of award.
