Texas Instruments to share the latest multicore design challenges and technology trends at Multicore Expo

At the 2010 Multicore Expo, Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) will be highlighting design challenges and technology trends in multicore. TI visionary, Gene Frantz, will deliver a keynote on the limitless possibilities for integrating billions of transistors on an integrated circuit, and TI has four experts scheduled to speak in panels on topics ranging from multicore hardware to tools for debugging embedded multicore devices. Additionally, TI will feature a workshop on accelerating designs with multicore DSPs.

Lunch & Panel Discussion: Look before you leap - multicore leaders go head to head TI's Andy Fritsch will join a Wind River-hosted panel discussion in the Ballroom of the Sainte Claire Hotel on making products successful with multicore technology.

3:00 p.m.

Panel Discussion: Parallelization strategies Finding the silver bullet – Stop by Hilton's Almaden II as TI's Reid Tatge joins a panel discussion on state-of-the-art viable solutions for parallelization to take advantage of multicore.

4:00 p.m.

Presentation: Real-time system visibility and debugging for embedded multicore devicesTI's Brian Cruickshank will discuss how software and hardware instrumentation are enabling a new wave of tools for debugging embedded multicore devices in the lab and field. The presentation will be held in Hilton's Almaden I.

Wednesday, April 28

1:30 p.m.

Keynote: What to do with a billion transistors?As we get closer to a time when we will be able to cost effectively integrate billions of transistors on an integrated circuit, TI fellow Gene Frantz will present his vision for the future of multi-processing SoCs. The keynote will be held in Hilton's Almaden II.

3:15 p.m.

Workshop: Accelerating designs with multicore DSP – TI's Travis Scheckel will show developers how to quickly get started with TI's multicore DSPs and demonstrate ways to get the most performance and power efficiency from their applications at San Jose Convention Center's Room L.

4:30 p.m.

Panel discussion: Community creation for embedded multicore processors and applications Stop by San Jose Convention Center's Room D as TI's Tom Flanagan moderates a discussion on community development in the world of embedded multicore processors .
