Construction Project Management Software from Meridian Systems Receives Top Products Award from Building Operating Management Magazine
FOLSOM, Calif. (January 21, 2010) - Meridian Systems, the Plan-Build-Operate technology solutions leader for project-based organizations, announced today that the Prolog® software Oversight Pack has been named a Top Product for 2009 by Building Operating Management (BOM) Magazine.
Prolog software delivers construction project control and transparency to project-based organizations within Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC), Commercial and Public sectors. Prolog streamlines operations for engineering and construction firms managing several projects, public agencies implementing a capital bond program, or private building owners constructing a new facility.
The BOM Top Products Awards recognize the most popular manufacturers and suppliers of the year, as determined by building and facility executives who sought further information about the products when they appeared on BOM's FacilitiesNet.com Web site. The Top Products Awards recognize the products that generated the highest level of page views from building and facility executives. From October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009 nearly 800 products were displayed on the FacilitiesNet Products page. Top Products Awards are being given to the product releases that finished in the top 10 percent of all those that were posted over the 12-month period.
"While construction projects in the public sector are getting a funding boost from American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), building owners and construction firms must comply with unprecedented levels of project transparency and oversight reporting," said Sue Watkins, director of marketing of Meridian Systems. "Public agencies have been using Prolog software and the Oversight Pack to avoid project delays and cost overruns for the last 15 years. We are pleased that Building Operating Management has validated our efforts with this honor."
The Prolog Oversight Pack complements Prolog software by providing pre-configured project oversight reports based on the requirements of the ARRA and guidance from the Office of Management and Budget. These oversight reports are combined with tools to help deliver status updates on projects and programs on several levels. For example, users can report on project and program status, program funding and obligations, track project location and status information for public transparency, and use collaboration tools to easily track change orders and integrate vendor data.
