COADE Releases CADWorx 2009 for 64-bit Systems, Offering Enhanced Performance

HOUSTON — (BUSINESS WIRE) — May 7, 2009 COADE announced today the release of a 64-bit version of CADWorx Plant Design Suite 2009, designed to take advantage of 64-bit system platforms running a current 64-bit version of AutoCAD. Upgrading to a 64-bit system (hardware, operating system and software) delivers a number of benefits for plant designers and engineers and can be a solution for those “out of memory” error messages that can occur when working on extremely large files. One of the key advantages of a 64-bit system is that it provides access to more RAM (random access memory) to help speed processing when working with large drawings, models and other files.

“One of the challenges for some plant designers is that, when working on extremely large drawings or multiple large files, their system performance slows down or even stops altogether due to inadequate memory or the inability to fully access available memory,” explained Joe Dixon, product manager for COADE’s Plant Design Solutions. “The new 64-bit version of CADWorx running on a full 64-bit platform responds to this challenge, keeping them productive and eliminating the associated frustrations and down time when such things occur,” he added.

The CADWorx Plant Design Suite for process plant design offers intelligent drawing to database connectivity, advanced levels of design automation and easy-to-use design tools. Because of these distinct advantages, it has been rapidly adopted by EPC firms and owner operators in the process, power, water treatment, pharmaceutical, food and beverage and semiconductor industries. CADWorx also offers the industry's first and only true bi-directional links between CAD and engineering analysis tools. Information on COADE and its products can be found at www.coade.com.
