LONGMONT, Colo. & HYDERABAD, India—(BUSINESS WIRE)—February 10, 2009— DigitalGlobe, a leading provider of high-resolution world imagery content, today announced that president and chief executive officer Jill Smith will present at Map World Forum in Hyderabad, India on February 10, 2009.

Within the session titled “Geospatial Technologies and Sustainable Development,” Smith will discuss how geospatial imaging provides a real world perspective on the earth’s historical and present day habitation. Through the power of high-resolution satellite imagery, it is possible to observe and monitor consumption of earth resources – an important tool and motivating factor behind the development and, ultimately, the improvement of environmental sustainability strategies. Smith will also discuss how today’s near real-time satellite imagery is poised to influence government policies for land and infrastructure development, natural resource management, urban emissions and erosion control in the future.
