TerraGo Technologies Becomes Independent Software Vendor Partner to Autodesk

ATLANTA—(BUSINESS WIRE)—January 15, 2008— Today, TerraGo Technologies, the leading provider of geospatial data distribution and collaboration solutions, announced its partnership with Autodesk, a world leader in design innovation technology, as an Independent Software Vendor (ISV). TerraGo Technologies will offer Map2PDF, the software used to create GeoPDF files, for AutoCAD Map 3D customers. TerraGo Technologies solutions are designed to enhance the business of Autodesk and TerraGo Technologies' mutual customers by making geospatial data readily available in a format almost everyone already knows how to use.

"One of Autodesk's strengths lies in our channel partnerships," said Bill Griffin, vice president of North American channel sales at Autodesk. "As we continue to grow, we are excited to have our ISV partners such as TerraGo Technologies grow with us and collectively be able to support our customer needs in niche industries that our ISV partners serve."

TerraGo Technologies pioneered the GeoPDF format, the only geospatial data distribution and collaboration platform that leverages the Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). Map2PDF allows customers to publish and collaborate on GeoPDF files, which contain robust cartographic data and mapping capabilities including layers and embedded feature attributes. The GeoPDF Toolbar gives users access to detailed digital maps in Adobe Reader, a lightweight, flexible interface most people already know how to use.

AutoCAD Map3D users will be able to create robust map books in GeoPDF format for distribution to field workers, first responders, planners, contractors and other constituents who use maps. Map2PDF for AutoCAD Map 3D will be available in Quarter 1 2008.

"GeoPDF offers substantial benefit to the AutoCAD Map user, and we are pleased to be working with Autodesk to bring additional value to those customers," said Karen Morley, senior director of marketing at TerraGo Technologies.

By building customized products and services using the world's leading design software for the manufacturing, building and construction, and media and entertainment markets, Autodesk ISV partners address niche requirements in the industries or markets they serve. These partners specialize in developing, bundling or integrating their software solutions with Autodesk applications, drawing on a deep understanding of their customers' business requirements in areas such as architecture, building systems engineering, structural engineering, civil engineering, geospatial information, manufacturing, data management, collaboration, education and government. Autodesk ISV partners benefit from Autodesk marketing, materials and events to effectively reach and serve millions of users worldwide.
