Kimmerle Group Designs 26,500 Square Foot Expansion of CareOne Assisted Living Facility in Evesham, NJ

New Two-Story Addition Attached to Existing Assisted Living Facilities

New York, N.Y. – July 19, 2019 – CareOne has announced the expansion of its existing Assisted Living Facilities in Evesham Township, NJ. Kimmerle Group, a multifaceted design, real estate, planning, development and branding practices firm with offices in New York and New Jersey, has been working closely with CareOne to manage the full design and build out of the additional 26,408 square-feet of space. The Medical services firm expects to open its doors to residents in mid to late 2020.

“CareOne’s expansion is representative of the quality of care patients and residents expect to receive from the tenants in all of the properties we’ve designed,” said George KimmerleFounding President & Partner of Kimmerle Group. “Our company is dedicated to working with leading healthcare providers such as CareOne on all aspects of site selection and development so that they may concentrate on delivering the best medical care possible.”

Kimmerle Group’s healthcare studio, project management and architecture teams provided full coordination and oversight of the project in addition to design and architecture from the beginning of the project’s expansion and will continue through the scheduled opening in 2020. The expansion features a similar brick, wood and stucco aesthetic to the existing structure and employs a new open terrace on the second floor of the expansion where it meets the existing building.

In addition to updating the aesthetics of the new Assisted Living facility, Kimmerle addressed the challenges of finding new ways to design occupant bed rooms with privacy and configure group spaces that would foster interaction amongst residents. Kimmerle therefore created an additional 41 ALF beds in both single and double bed configurations with new associated program elements such as dining facilities, game & social areas, and group TV rooms as well as additional staff facilities. ALF rooms each have their own toilet and bath facilities and features subdivided bed and living rooms with TV access in both areas.

“A major trend that needs accommodation is simply that people will continue to live longer lives, and stay longer periods of time in Assisted Living Facilities,” added Michael Azarian, Managing Director of Kimmerle’s Healthcare Studio. “We have tried to respond by creating an extension that will foster contact between residents and create healthier interactions and lifestyles.”
