Today at the Open Compute Project Global Summit in San Jose, Rambus is
demonstrating its collaboratively developed hybrid memory research
platform with
Alpha
Data,
IBM,
Wistron,
and
Xilinx.
The prototype system leverages memory on OpenCAPI, as a first step in
creating a flexible platform to enable the research of new memory types
in real-world environments. Targeting one of the industry’s key
performance challenges, this collaboration aims to research and optimize
the use of DRAM and emerging storage-class memories for real-world
environments.
