IEEE Rebooting Computing Week Engages Technology Stakeholders in Developing a New Era of Computing

IEEE events include the International Roadmap for Devices and Systems (IRDS) Meeting, the International Conference on Rebooting Computing (ICRC), and the IEEE Industry Summit on the Future of Computing

PISCATAWAY, N.J. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — October 2, 2018 — IEEE, the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for humanity, encourages early adopters, innovators, technologists, and students to experience the 2018 IEEE Rebooting Computing Week events to be held 5-9 November 2018 in Tysons, VA. An annual, weeklong IEEE Rebooting Computing Initiative event, IEEE Rebooting Computing Week brings together leaders in industry, academia, and government to collaborate and explore new technologies. Computing topics addressed include approximate computing, biological computing, brain-inspired computing, quantum computing, quantum machine learning, and more.

“IEEE Rebooting Computing Week brings together individuals who share a common drive and commitment to not only enhance today’s computer performance, but who also are looking ahead at technologies that will drive the next computing era,” said Erik DeBenedictis, general chair of the 2018 IEEE International Conference on Rebooting Computing (ICRC).

IEEE Rebooting Computing Week events to be held at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner in Tysons, Virginia include:

IEEE Rebooting Computing Week convenes great thinkers and trailblazers in the hardware, software, low energy consumption, high performance computing, and other computing industries to share insights on what’s to be expected in a new era of computing. The full line-up of speakers for IEEE Rebooting Computing Week will be announced soon. Already, this forward-looking event has secured renowned subject matter experts for The IEEE Industry Summit and ICRC, including:

“Whether you are a student, a leader in the computing industry, or renowned in academia, IEEE Rebooting Computing Week offers engaging, thought-provoking discussion and a collaborative environment for networking opportunities at all three events,” said IEEE Fellow Elie Track, 2011-2014 president, IEEE Council on Superconductivity; co-chair of IEEE Rebooting Computing; “At each of the events, attendees will benefit from well-thought-out agendas that address key topics and that explore in depth the computing realities and challenges faced today and for the future.”
