Presagis Solution Helps Intelligence Sector

April 23 2018 – Tampa, Florida – Presagis™, a recognized leader in simulation software, is providing VELOCITY, a next-generation software solution that automates the production of large synthetic training environments, to agencies and organizations within the intelligence community at GEOINT in Tampa, Florida, April 23-25, 2018.

VELOCITY is a powerful software solution capable of ingesting large amounts of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data and automatically producing massive, correlated, sensor-enabled, immersive 3D virtual environments. VELOCITY is capable of fusing a wide range of data sources to generate terrains that are realistic, geo-specific, and optimized for a multitude of runtime environments.

VELOCITY’s design and development is in direct response to the challenges facing government agencies and non-governmental organizations as they attempt to manage and analyze overwhelming amounts of geospatial data obtained by satellites, drones, or other means.

“Intelligence organizations today are challenged to provide better intelligence analysis support. Hampering this task is overwhelming amounts of GIS data, outdated information, and administrative hurdles,“ explains Stephane Blondin, Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at Presagis. “VELOCITY empowers agencies to leverage their own data – whether it is satellite or aerial imagery, or point cloud data from drones, our solution can let agencies rapidly produce their own 3D environments to generate actionable and timely intelligence.”

Leveraging the benefits and immersion of 3D environments, VELOCITY provides organizations the ability to automatically transform, fuse, and correlate diverse GIS data streams and layers into rich, multi-spectral, geo-specific 3D environments.

Able to consume a wide range of data formats and sources – such as GIS data and sensors fusion (LiDAR, and Radar), or oblique imagery, and photogrammetry – VELOCITY can seamlessly generate massive, country-sized virtual environments, including dense urban areas, as well as GPS-denied locations. VELOCITY is then able to output or publish to virtually any format, platform, or device. “Whether you want your synthetic environment in a simulator, a VR headset, a tablet, or a mobile device, VELOCITY is flexible enough to accomplish that – regardless of the source formats,” said Dave Lajoie, Lead Architect of VELOCITY.

Using a cloud-based approach, VELOCITY’s design automates and accelerates the processing of large amounts of data and facilitate its delivery to the point-of-need. Flexible, cross-platform, and scalable, VELOCITY offers a way forward for organizations looking for a centralized asset management approach that scales with evolving requirements.

Presagis will be demonstrating VELOCITY at the USGIF-sponsored GEOINT Symposium in Tampa, Florida from April 22-25, 2018. Attendees are welcome to visit Presagis at booth #1624 for a demonstration of VELOCITY.
