Former Head of Siemens USA Named Executive in Residence at the Crummer Graduate School of Business

WINTER PARK, Fla., Oct. 17, 2017 — (PRNewswire) —  Eric Spiegel, former President and CEO of Siemens USA, is joining the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College as its newest executive in residence. Spiegel will leverage his wide-ranging global experience to benefit Crummer students, particularly students in the School's Early Advantage MBA Program, a full-time day program designed specifically for recent college graduates and career changers.

Spiegel brings more than 35 years' global leadership and consulting experience to Crummer. Prior to his role as CEO of Siemens USA—the largest subsidiary of Siemens AG, he served in key global roles at Booz Allen Hamilton and Booz & Co., including four years as the firm's Tokyo-based managing director for International businesses, including in Asia, Australia, Latin America and the Middle East. He also led the Global Energy practice for many years.  Spiegel currently serves as a part-time Special Advisor for General Atlantic, a leading global private equity firm providing capital and strategic support for growth companies. He is also on the Board of Directors for Liberty Mutual Insurance and Dover Corporation.

Spiegel, who will help teach a course at Crummer on Leadership with an Entrepreneurial Mindset, along with Dr. Craig McAllaster, has long been considered a thought leader in the business community. He is a Co-author of the book Energy Shift, which and he has also contributed numerous articles on diverse topics including technology, manufacturing, global leadership, and education to publications such as the Wall Street Journal, strategy+business Magazine and Public Utilities Fortnightly.  Spiegel also served on President Obama's Advanced Manufacturing Partnership Steering Committee as well as Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker's Foreign Direct Investment Advisory Council. He holds an MBA from The Amos Tuck Graduate School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College where he was an Edward Tuck Scholar and a AB in Economics with Honors from Harvard University.

Established to supplement the School's immersive, experience-based curricula, the Executive in Residence Program offers students the opportunity to learn directly from the knowledge and perspectives of renowned business leaders.
