MADISON, WI--(Marketwired - February 02, 2016) - koi Design LLC, a leading designer and retailer of scrubs, clothing, and other household items, has selected the Widen Media Collective for its digital asset management (DAM) needs. They will use Widen's cloud-based DAM solution to organize many different types of digital media files for their retailer network.
Kathy Peterson, koi's founder and designer in chief, created the koi brand after successful stints with other designer giants including Guess and Carole Little. Her experiences with major brands taught her the importance of maintaining brand consistency with retail partners and promotions. As koi grew, they realized they needed better management and access to their branded images.
Already a customer of Widen's digital content production services for Photoshop and color retouching of koi's digital imagery, koi did not need to look very far to also increase the accessibility of those same images amongst their global retailer network. After reviewing prices and functionality of other digital asset management systems, koi ultimately chose the Widen Media Collective for their DAM needs.
"koi had been using the Widen production division for some time and the experience with Widen was positive," stated Jeremy Husk, Executive Vice President at koi. "The customer service is great, and the fact we could have the production services and DAM all under one roof made sense in terms of streamlining koi's process."
The DAM will be used to house photographic images and various other forms of digital information and collateral used to support the brand. The Media Collective will allow koi to make access to images and media easier and simpler for their retail partners, which is their largest group of users.
"Most of Widen's DAM customers don't know that the top-ranked Media Collective solution was born almost 20 years ago from Widen's digital content production workflows which goes back decades earlier," said Craig Bollig, senior advisor with Widen. "They see the monthly updates, the active user community, the integrations to new tools they use for sales enablement and marketing, and they assume it's a much younger brand. But the team at koi was part of the Widen family long before adopting the software. We hang our hat on being not just the best-in-class DAM provider, but also a trusted partner in content production and customer service."
