Steady Growth Spurs Getmapping’s New Recruitment

Mar 3, 2015 -- To support continued business growth, Aerial photography and mapping specialist Getmapping has made a number of new appointments to strengthen both its commercial and technical teams.

Carl Greenman has joined Getmapping’s Business Innovation team as a Geospatial Specialist. He will be supporting projects across all areas of the Getmapping Group business, many of which require specialist GIS and geospatial skills, particularly the development of front-end user interfaces for Getmapping’s WebGIS Customers. Carl will also provide technical and administrative support to Getmapping’s Parish Online and Web GIS clients. Prior to joining Getmapping Carl has worked as a GIS surveyor for a South West Housing Association as well as a stint with Bath and North East Somerset Council.

Asim Malik has joined Getmapping as an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer. Asim‘s remit includes server provisioning, maintenance and general networking,  as well as providing technical support internally and to customers using Getmapping’s Cloud hosted services. Previously Asim worked for a number of Cloud based digital service providers including Salesforce, Sky, Spotify, and Adobe.

Fiona Kent is Getmapping’s new Marketing Manager. She has over 20 years business to business marketing experience working across automotive, energy, utility and insurance sectors with brands such as the AA, Centrica, CORGI and Towergate. As a marketing specialist, Fiona has been involved in marketing strategy, event management and lead generation, and also has considerable digital marketing expertise.

“Getmapping continues to grow and the business is continuing to deliver outstanding results. The expansion of our aerial survey operations and digital mapping services across the UK, Europe and Africa, needs to be supported by a high level of technical expertise and support for our customers; these appointments complement our existing teams and allow us to continue to deliver a consistently high level of service and support to our growing customer base,” said Dave Horner, Managing Director.
