CeBIT 2015: GIS solutions for the public sector

First time CeBIT with trade show area especially for geoinformation systems

Karlsruhe, 14 January2015-- For the first time at CeBIT 2015 in Hannover, there will be a joint "geoinformation systems" stand. Disy will be there and will present its Cadenza GIS & Reporting product family as well as GIS 2go, the world’s first mobile GIS application for tablets (Hall 7, booth D62/1).

In the public sector geoinformation systems can significantly simplify, speed up and optimise many processes. Here, experts see a noticeable potential for cost reduction at the authorities. The question is what the goal of investing in which system is and what data should be accessed. Visitors will get an answer to this question at the first joint "geoinformation systems" stand in the Public Sector Parc at CeBIT 2015 from 16–20 March 2015 in Hannover.

Disy will be present in this new joint stand at CeBIT with its own exhibition area. "We will demonstrate how it is possible to analyse geo and technical data in many ways and publish the results efficiently with Cadenza," says Disy Managing Director Claus Hofmann. "Our GIS and reporting platform Cadenza offers access for desktop, web and mobile end user devices."

GIS 2go

At this years’ CeBITDisy will also present GIS 2go, the world’s first solution for mobile GIS on tablets. With the latest GIS 2go add-in version, users of Desktop GIS by Esri now also benefit from the full range of new functionalities. As of now, ArcGIS Desktop users with Mobile-GIS by Disy cannot only use their maps on standard tablets offline but may also record and structurally edit fields and geometries via the mobile GIS app.

With GIS 2go, Disy has developed a solution that allows GIS users to take their own maps along on a tablet (Android or iPad) or make them available to other users via the cloud. Instead of a laptop, users can take the handier and cheaper tablet with them to the field. Basic GIS functions, such as viewing, redlining and geometry editing, are now also available offline without an internet connection required.

Free, fully functional test version now available

Mobile GIS by Disy can be tested free of charge and with no obligation. All details on how to carry out first tests with ArcGIS Desktop by Esri are available at www.gis2go.com. Here, users can download the add-in for ArcGIS Desktop and request a demo account required to test the synchronisation free of charge, including the links for downloading the GIS app from the Apple App Store (for iPads) and the Google Play Store (for Android-Tablets).

Disy thus fits perfectly into the joint "geoinformation systems" stand, which takes up a topic that is becoming ever more important to the authorities and administrative agencies. The entire spectrum of public administration will be presented in more than 6,000 square metres.
