“The Strategic Role of Legacy Data Migration in PLM Implementations” think-tankto be held on October 22nd

Milford, OH, October 6, 2014 – International TechneGroup Incorporated (ITI), a global provider of interoperability software and consulting services for CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM systems, was selected by the Product Innovation Congressto lead a think-tank discussion on PLM best practices on Wednesday, October 22, in San Diego, CA.ITI Executive Vice President of Product Lifecycle Management, Tom Makoski, is scheduled to lead “The Strategic Role of Legacy Data Migration in PLM Implementation” as part of the Product Innovation Congress’ Think Tank Series.

Legacy data migration projects, within the context of large enterprise-wide PLM implementations, are often the cause of scheduling delays, cost overruns, and the dissemination of poor product data that cannot be reused or shared across the team or within the PLM applications. With more than a decade of PLM implementation experience across multiple verticals, Makoski will lead attendees through success strategies for on-time, on-budget implementations, risk and personnel management, and lessons learned.

“We find that our clients often under estimate the work involved with legacy data migrations,” says Makoski. “This is a difficult problem to solve.  We have a global team of sixty consultants, each possessing more than a decade of experience solving these types of problems. This is our first year as contributors to the PI Congress and I hope that attendees walk away with best practices that they can use immediately.”
