CIIS to Demonstrate Business Process Automation Solutions: Automated Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and “Smart Warehouse” User Experience at OpenWorld 2014
SAN FRANCISCO — (BUSINESS WIRE) — September 29, 2014 — Oracle OpenWorld – Canon Information and Imaging Solutions, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., and a Gold level member of Oracle® PartnerNetwork (OPN), today announced that it has achieved Oracle Validated Integration of Enterprise Imaging Platform 1.2E with Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.
Enterprise Imaging Platform (EIP) is a single middleware platform that captures, creates, processes and automates document workflows while integrating relevant information into various enterprise applications. EIP based solutions can automate numerous document-intensive business processes. The integration with Oracle E-Business Suite delivers great versatility, particularly in automating the many tasks associated with the entire Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash accounting processes.
To achieve Oracle Validated Integration, Oracle partners are required to meet a stringent set of requirements that are based on the needs and priorities of the customers. CIIS has also achieved Oracle Validated Integration of EIP with Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.1 (announced during Oracle OpenWorld 2013). Canon’s Oracle Validated Integrations with Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne include integration with leading enterprise content server, Oracle’s WebCenter Content.
“Achieving Oracle Validated Integration gives our customers confidence that the integration between Canon’s Enterprise Imaging Platform and Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 is functionally sound and performs as tested,” said Kevin O’Brien, senior director, ISV and SaaS Strategy, Oracle. “For solutions deployed on premise, in the cloud, or both, Oracle Validated Integration applies a rigorous technical review and test process that helps to reduce deployment risk and improves the user experience of the partner’s integrated offering.”
“Recognizing how prevalent and important document based information is to accounting processes, it is important for CIIS to achieve Oracle Validated Integration to further confirm EIP’s ability to bring significant benefits to Oracle E-Business Suite customers,” said Mr. Satoshi Nagata, president, Canon Information and Imaging Solutions. “We have first-hand experience of how strong a message Oracle Validated Integration has in the marketplace having achieved it last year with Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.1.”
Supporting today’s announcement, Oracle Open World 2014 attendees will have the opportunity to see Canon Information & Imaging Solutions demonstrate its EIP integration with Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne at its booth in Moscone South #2101 and in Moscone West in #3817 as part of Oracle’s JD Edwards Showcase. CIIS will also demonstrate a new “smart warehouse” user experience, showing innovative ways companies can improve supply chain functions based upon EIP integration with Google GlassTM and Oracle’s JD Edwards.
Oracle OpenWorld attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in sessions with speakers including Greg Ryan, senior director marketing, Canon Information and Imaging Solutions: “Fast Data: Business-User-Friendly Tooling (BOFT) Best Practices and Usage Patterns” and “Google Glass and Visual Reporting in Facilities Management with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne,” presented by DTZ. Additionally, CIIS will host a presentation on an hourly basis to provide an overview of its offerings. Select system integrator partners will also have a presence in the Canon booth, including Ascendum, Chateaux Software, L&T Infotech, NebuLogic, RJT Solution Beacon, Smartbridge, and SNP GL Associates."
