Manufacturing Technologies Group Inc. and Kirkwood Community College have teamed up to offer students Edgecam Software

Cedar Rapids, IA. May 7, 2014 -- Manufacturing Technologies Group Inc. has teamed up Kirkwood Community College to offer Edgecam software training as part of their Core Curriculum.  “We are proud to support their staff and incoming students in programming CNC Machines using the latest Edgecam Workflow technology,” says Jim Jackson Co-owner of Manufacturing Technologies Inc.  The software reads “native” solid data from all major design developers and can be used with Milling, Turning, Mill/Turn and Wire EDM machines.

On Wednesday, May 14, 2014 Kirkwood Community College will be hosting an on campus Lunch and Learn event at Jones Hall Rm.123 from 9am to 1:30pm.  This event is open to all area manufacturers and manufacturing students in the Cedar Rapids, IA area. This is a great opportunity to network with other area manufacturers along with technology experts from MFGtech, Edgecam, Iscar, and Mazak.  Attendees will have the opportunity to witness live machining and “test drive” Edgecam Workflow.  If you would like to join us at this informative event, simply go to Manufacturing Technologies Group website and click on events to register. http://mftginc.com/
