Siemens PLM Software experts to participate at 10th International Modelica Conference

Plano, Texas, March 10, 2014 – Representatives from Siemens PLM Software will be participating in the 10th International Modelica® Conference to be held in Lund, Sweden from March 10 to 12, 2014. At the conference, Siemens PLM Software experts will present white papers on Modelica and Functional Mock-up Interface (FMI) as well as the latest Modelica and FMI capabilities developed in the LMS Imagine.LabTM software.

A leading simulation environment for multi-domain system integration, LMS Imagine.Lab AmesimTMsoftware is an ideal choice for users looking to couple C-based and Modelica modeling approaches into a single open platform.

Depending on modeling requirements, users can access a wide selection of built-in libraries containing complex, validated component models, or they can create customized libraries using a full-featured Modelica development environment. After the Modelica models have been built, Modelica users can run them within LMS Amesim benefitting from powerful analysis tools for visualization, linear analysis and design exploration.

To meet the growing demand for open-standard modeling libraries, Siemens PLM Software is actively involved in the Modelica Association’s research and technology development projects supporting both the Modelica programming language and FMI specifications.

At the conference, the Siemens PLM Software team will present the following white papers. Antoine Viel will present “Implementing stabilized co-simulation of strongly coupled systems using the Functional Mock-up Interface 2.0”. Simon Bliudze from the ÉcolePolytechniqueFédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland and SébastienFuric will present “An operational semantics for hybrid systems involving behavioral abstraction” and Vincent Berthoux, SébastienFuric, and Loic Wagner will share “Statechart as a means to control plant models in LMS Imagine.Lab Amesim.”

During the entire exhibition, Siemens PLM Software experts will be available to provide further information about working with the latest LMS Amesim advanced analyses capabilities related to Modelica models and will give a demonstration during the vendor sessions.
