TO-3P(N)/50A product added to the 6th-generation hard-switching series

TOKYO — (BUSINESS WIRE) — March 29, 2013 — Toshiba Corporation (TOKYO:6502) has expanded its line-up of 6th-generation hard-switching discrete IGBT series for general and industrial purposes with the addition of "GT50J342", a TO-3P(N) package product with ratings of I_C = 55A and V_CES = 600V. The new series guarantees V_CE(sat) = 1.5V (typ.) under the conditions of I_C = 50A and t_sc = 5μs (T_j ≤ 150°C) and is suited for use in general-purpose inverters and motor drives.

1. Low saturation voltage: V_CE(sat) = 1.5V (typ.) @ I_C = 50A
2. High junction temperature: T_j = 175°C
