More seamless Oracle mapping integration as MapMechanics gains Gold status

Oracle-ready digital map data including NAVSTREETS now on www.allmapdata.com

More seamless integration between digital mapping and Oracle enterprise-level software is now available to users through enhanced Oracle support introduced by MapMechanics, one of Britain s leaders in digital mapping and geographic information systems.

Having supplied digital data for Oracle products for more than ten years, MapMechanics has now become an Oracle Gold Partner, which means the company is working even more closely with Oracle to help users get the best out of the two companies respective products.

As part of this initiative, digital data in Oracle format is now available online through www.allmapdata.com, MapMechanics market-leading online digital mapping and data resource; and to help users find exactly the data they need and learn more about the benefits, a new Oracle section has been added to the site. It can be found at www.allmapdata.com/oracle.

A range of leading Oracle products is supported by the MapMechanics data, including Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Oracle Real-time Scheduler (ORS), and Oracle Utilities Mobile Workforce Management (MWM).

Also supported are products such as Siebel Workforce Management, Oracle E-business Suite Advanced Scheduler and Oracle Spatial.

Under MapMechanics established Process Promise scheme, map data is supplied in a format that is fully compatible with Oracle systems, and integrates smoothly with them.

A key resource now available in Oracle format at www.allmapdata.com is NAVSTREETS, a series of detailed street-level map data sets for a wide range of countries, across all continents. NAVSTREETS, a product of NAVTEQ, is a vector (scalable) data set providing navigational detail plus information such as average road speeds, address ranges and points of interest.

NAVSTREETS data is now available from MapMechanics in Oracle Delivery Format (ODF) for use in Oracle Spatial GeoCoder, Oracle Spatial Routing Engine and Oracle Application Server MapViewer.

MapMechanics founder and director Mary Short comments: Many of our corporate customers are Oracle users, and this development provides further evidence of the seamless support we are able to offer them.

The fully transactional www.allmapdata.com web site is a major resource for users of digital map data, geodemographic data, business intelligence data and related products. It provides detailed descriptions of thousands of products, often with related images, and also includes invaluable information on buying and using the various kinds of data product listed.
