MCLEAN, Va. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — October 18, 2012 — Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) announced it has won eight major task orders to provide management and technical services to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) through the Enterprise Support to Management and Resources for Technical Services (ESMARTS) contract. ESMARTS is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a maximum value of $873 million, and will provide services to NGA through December 2016. Booz Allen provided similar support to NGA under the predecessor SMARTS contract initiated in 2006.
Through ESMARTS, Booz Allen will support NGA in developing geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) capabilities that create new value and improve mission partners’ access to data. Booz Allen will help implement NGA’s strategic initiatives regarding: content, customer service, open information technology environment, analytic capabilities, workforce, workplace and functional management.
Since the IDIQ award in May 2012, Booz Allen has won eight prime contractor awards, totaling $295 million, to support different mission directorates and management offices within the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency. Additionally, Booz Allen will provide subcontractor support in three other areas including security, human resources, and online GEOINT services.
“Booz Allen is well prepared to continue its 30-year partnership with NGA and its predecessor organizations through the ESMARTS contract. With a superior record of excellence in technical delivery and management, Booz Allen offers a broad set of mission focused capabilities that will enable NGA to efficiently achieve its vision,” said Richard Wilhelm, Executive Vice President of Booz Allen Hamilton. He added, “We look forward to working collaboratively with NGA to achieve its objectives for creating richer sets of services and information, delivered to users in more usable forms.”
Since NGA’s establishment in 1996, Booz Allen has helped plan, program, develop, and deliver timely, relevant and accurate GEOINT in support of National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG) missions: military and intelligence operations, intelligence analysis, homeland defense, and humanitarian and disaster relief.
