Sterling, VA, February 2012 – Infotech is pleased to announce Bob Montgomery, Infotech’s Business Development Director – Utilities, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA). Bob has over 38 year of experience in engineering, IT, sales, and executive management with most of his career focused on implementing information systems for utilities as well as municipal agencies that leverage GIS and geospatial data. Throughout his career he has carried a variety of positions including Senior Account Manager, Engineering Applications Supervisor, Senior Vice President, and Executive Vice President. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA in Finance from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. Bob has been involved in many industry associations during his career, including GITA. He has participated as a speaker at past GITA events and has been involved with the organization since its inception.
Bob noted “With my many years of involvement with GITA, it only makes sense to take my participation to the next level. I am excited to continue our relationship with GITA and to contribute my knowledge and experience to the organization. My involvement with GITA will support the organization’s focus around trends and technologies impacting the Utility industry.”
