MDI develops new online tools and services through its new website.
Commack, NY August 15, 2011: Magnacad Design Inc. today announced that it has reconstructed its web site to incorporate new features and easier navigation for customers. The new site has been under re-construction for several months and had an abundance of outdated material and broken links. Magnacad has decided to bring the maintenance and development of the corporate website under its own roof thus allowing faster and timely updates. Also the development of new features can be much easier implemented.
This first incarnation of the new website includes several new features as outlined below.
One-Click Navigation. A new structured menu button that allows visitors the ability to get directly to a point of reference with virtually one click. The buttons have been organized into logical categories so the speed of which you get to your target destination is extremely fast.
RP Quoting. A new rapid prototyping page has been implemented to better support this portion of MDI’s business. This site allows customers to upload their STL files up to 2GB in size and quickly address what process, material, color, and quantities they want for the prototypes. This page does not cover all RP services, but provides a fast process of quoting for customers that use our more typical processes. All RP services not outlined on this page are quoted through the standard process of submitting files with details to Email Contact. We will continue to develop this RP site as the demand dictates.
IronCAD Translators Online Purchasing. Updated information regarding all our products has been addressed. Also, the addition of the IronCAD-TRANS native translator’s page has been incorporated. On this page, users can purchased any of the 3 types of translators currently offered instantly through online merchant services. Using PayPal of a credit card is available. The new Translators provide the ability to read and write leading native CAD data at the industry’s lowest price.
New Support Links: Under the Support Button are several new options to help our customers. The ability to check video card compatibility, knowledge base access, Software Update access and free viewers had been added to provide our customers a one stop location for all their needs. Again, this will expand as the demand increases.
Educational Links: New links to Magnacad’s YouTube™ Channel, IronCAD™ libraries, and other online educational media has been added to facilitate our growing customer base of students, faculty and educational institutions.
Direct Link to ICON user group. Magnacad has fully adopted LIICON (Long Island IronCAD Owners Network) and rebranded it by dropping the “Long Island” portion of the name. The change came about to become more indicative of what the group has evolved into. The membership consists of over a 100 members from all regions of the world. So it made sense to change the name and for MDI to take a controlling interest in the group.
Join Meeting Launcher. This button found on the home page provides easy access to join live web-based meetings using Magnacad’s own JRIV partner solution Mikogo™. Now customers and potential customers can join us instantly without the need for cumbersome links and email notifications.
Streamlining. Lastly, many areas of the site have been streamlined to provide faster response and less clutter and clicking. Online forms have been revamped to request only relevant information. Pages have been designed to increase their opening speed. Any links to PDF’s have been optimized to increase the download speeds as well. Even the general layout of our PDF’s (Magnacad-related) has been designed to reduce the amount of ink you use when printing them out.
Magancad is excited about the new website which has been a long anticipated re-development. We hope the global community and customers find this site informative and beneficial. Our goal is for the website to be an important support resource for our clientele and not just a sales tool. We welcome any feedback that helps to improve the new website. Feel free to submit feedback to Email Contact.
