Scalable Solution Includes Terabytes of Imagery, Topography, and Street Data
Redlands, California— July 06, 2011—Esri has releasedthe new version of ArcGIS Data Appliance, an enterprise scalable solution that plugs right into an organization's internal network and serves terabytes of worldwide map data including imagery, street, and topography. ArcGIS Data Appliance 4.0 includes many new imagery and basemap datasets, as well as data updates for tasks.
In version 4.0, the data collection previously known as the World Premium Collection in ArcGIS Data Appliance is now called the Premier Collection. The Premier Collection in the new version includes updates to World Imagery Map with more recent and detailed imagery for the United States. Esri also updated the World Topographic Map at large scales with new detail for North America, Europe, South America, and Australia.
Basemaps in ArcGIS Data Appliance 4.0 have also been updated. The World Street Map has been updated at medium scales globally and at large scales in the United States. The North America Address Locator and European Address Locator now use the latest street data from TomTom (formerly Tele Atlas). All European and North American routing services have also been upgraded with the latest TomTom street map data.
