Abuja, July 4th 2011 -- Third Dimension Technologies - Nigeria's leading GIS/Geo Mapping company releases 2011 third quarter database for Nigeria.
Topmost on the new data set is the addition of address database for 25 other cities - hitherto, address database for Nigeria had been limited to Lagos and Abuja, but the new dataset contains address data for extra 25 other cities. It is also promised that 20 more cities will be added to the address database before the end of the year.
Similarly, there is an addition of 50 new cities to the existing 250 cities with street level data, making the total cities with street level details to 300. In addition to the street level data, there are also added attributes of Telephone numbers, House numbers, street addresses for points of interests.
To cap the release, there is an added layer for demographic data based on the current population data for Nigeria. There is also a further breakdown of the road data class to tarred roads and untarred roads.
Third Dimension Technologies remains the best source of digital map data for Nigeria. According to the MD/CEO, the effort has also seen the company making in roads to Ghana, Senegal and many other West African countries.
