Leios 2 is a turning point: new user interface and new workflow, performance boosts and new tools, granting users improved productivity and usability

Leios 2 is the brand new release of its core solution. The new name reflects an evolved product line; the software has been redesigned to take advantage of the latest hardware platforms and to answers all of the users’ requests.
Leios 2 shows important enhancements in usability: the ribbon approach simplifiestools accessibility and visibility, thanks to a clever and functional separation of the menus. The new and improved user interface optimizes the workflow, breaking the barrier with the phase-driven approach of the former Leios. Since the first version of Leios, the workflow had been based on a closed sequence of phases (point cloud elaboration, mesh creation and editing, curves and surfaces creation), each having its own set of active tools. During the years Leios users have grown tired of this lack of freedom. EGSolutions has heard the suggestions of its customers and resellers, and answers today with a brand new interface and structure.
Leios 2 flexibility is paired with the tools accessibility - every tool is now available anytime – and a wider and polished viewport free of toolbars hindering the work. Graphics have also been completely refreshed, to achieve a captivating yet familiar environment: new icons, new transparencies, accessible and docked toolboxes.
Leios 2 is based on Leios Components 6 and LMViewGL, the latest revisions of EGSolutions’ own kernel and graphic engine.

In addition to the overall performance boost, the new kernel has brought new enhancements and tools like: 3D triangulation and volumetric triangulation – to create manifold meshes from very noisy datasets –, tools for fitting NURBS surfaces on mesh and point clouds, dedicated procedures for colour management and plugins for importing data of many 3D scanners manufacturers, such as Artec and 3D3 Solutions.
The fields of application of Leios 2 are several: from industrial design to arts and medical.
