Attendees Will Experience Full Spectrum of Innovative Solutions for Concept Models, Functional Prototypes and Reverse Engineering in Booth 404
BURLINGTON, Mass., May 17, 2011 — (PRNewswire) — Z Corporation will demonstrate a wide range of 3D printing and 3D laser scanning technologies at this year's RAPID 2011 Conference & Exposition, showcasing the tools that manufacturers, architects, educators and other innovators are increasingly employing to introduce higher-quality designs and products.(Logo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20040630/ZCORPLOGO )
The annual RAPID Conference and Tradeshow is North America's definitive additive manufacturing event. RAPID 2011 takes place May 23 - May 26 at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis, Minn.
From ZPrinters that pump out multicolor concept models, to ZBuilder Ultra rapid prototyping machines that affordably create plastic prototypes of injection-molded quality, to 3D laser scanners that capture surface data for reverse engineering and inspection, Z Corporation technology supports the entire product development spectrum from inspiration through quality control.
Located in booth #404, Z Corporation will offer live, interactive demonstrations of products such as:
- ZScanner® portable 3D scanners, including the ZScanner 700, ZScanner 700 CX and the ZScanner 800, using Geomagic and Rapidform software for specific applications. ZScanners are the first handheld, self-positioning scanners that can digitize 3D surfaces in real time.
- The ZPrinter® 450, a full-color, easy to use, office-friendly 3D printer delivering advanced color, automation and a print speed five to 10 times faster than any other technology.
- The ZBuilder™ Ultra rapid prototyping machine, which builds durable plastic parts rivaling injection-molding's accuracy, material properties, detail and surface finish. ZBuilders cost one-third of the price of machines with comparable performance.
To experience the beauty, quality and functionality of Z Corporation parts, attendees will be able to examine conceptual, presentation and functional prototypes created with ZPrinters and ZBuilders, including a large-scale ZPrinted model rocket.
Z Corporation, whose technology is also a favorite of architects who need to quickly and cost-effectively create building models, will offer a special workshop at the show primarily for architects and others in the industry. The 3D Printing for AEC Workshop takes place on Thursday, May 26th at 9 a.m. during the Architecture Breakout session. It features Z Corporation customer Charles Overy, president of the LGM architectural visualization firm, and Olimpio Demarco, Z Corporation's director of business development. This session is an AIA approved course and earns 1.5 CEU credits for attending members.
Z Corporation will also participate in the annual RAPID Puzzle Challenge, hand out samples of multicolor 3D printed models, and hold a drawing for a Flip camcorder. Z Corporation senior executives will be on hand to listen to attendees' product development priorities and discuss which rapid prototyping and 3D scanning technologies can best meet their needs.
