Fort Collins, Colo. — April 12, 2011 — Mapbiquity.com added support yesterday for mobile devices to provide a better user experience. Web maps created using Mapbiquity now dynamically adjust based on the client using the map. Traditional web browsers still show the original interactive maps. However, when users view a Mapbiquity generated web map from a mobile device they will now see a layout and functionality specifically targeted toward mobile devices, particularly touch screen devices. For an example, visit the working demo at http://www.mapbiquity.com/demo with both a traditional web browser and a mobile device.
“With the growing trend in mobile device use and the opportunities arising in this market, we see this as an obvious progression”, says Kris Peterson, Founder and Owner of Mapbiquity. Mapbiquity will continue to expand its support for mobile devices and offer more web mapping functionality for the mobile market.
