March 11, 2011 -- Esri is serving a Japan earthquake map which disseminates information being sent via Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr. The social media layers allow for custom keyword searches. Streetmap, OpenStreetMap, satellite imagery, and topographic maps are part of the map overlay. The Ushadihi layer can be turned on to see messages related to locating trapped individuals. Additional map layers added as data becomes available. This map can be embedded in online articles. To request the embeddable code contact Jesse Theodore, Email Contact.
