LAS VEGAS, NV -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Jan 06, 2011 -- TRIRIGA INC® today announced that the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, will implement TRIRIGA's full suite of integrated workplace management, workplace performance management and environmental sustainability software to streamline facilities lifecycle management across more than 1,500 real property assets, including land, buildings and structures.
Recent federal Executive Orders require executive branch departments and agencies to effectively manage real property assets. Executive Order 13327 requires executive branch departments and agencies to ensure the effective management of federal real property assets through their entire lifecycle, while Executive Orders 13423 and 13514 require that agencies improve energy efficiency, reduce natural resource consumption and decrease waste production to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve environmental performance.
Using TRIRIGA's integrated workplace management system, U.S. Customs and Border Protection will consolidate multiple systems to increase operational effectiveness, measure performance against established goals and demonstrate leadership in environmental and energy performance -- a key goal of President Obama's plan to create a clean energy economy.
With TRIRIGA, U.S. Customs and Border Protection will create a single central web-based system that streamlines processes and performance measurement related to program and project management; strategic master planning; capital budgeting; real property and lease administration; environmental and energy planning and compliance; maintenance management; and facility condition assessments. This system will also provide critical updates to Federal Real Property Profiles (FRPP) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) factors.
"While many Federal Government entities are taking the initiative to increase the effectiveness of their real property, U.S. Customs and Border Protection will be one of the first to implement a suite of integrated applications to achieve the goals of several important Executive Orders," said George Ahn, CEO of TRIRIGA. "Our partnership will allow U.S. Customs and Border Protection to consolidate systems to effectively achieve their real property, energy and environmental goals and objectives, and is expected to provide significant cost savings."
In addition to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, TRIRIGA provides experience and expertise gained from executing projects within other Department of Homeland Security agencies, including early stage work in another TRIRIGA IWMS implementation project at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
