Mauell Corporation Partners with Space-Time Insight, Inc.

The Leading Vendor of Customized Control Room Technology Joins with the Leader in Spatio-Temporal Visual Analytics Software to Offer the Next Generation in Control Room Architecture

Dillsburg, PA— December 3, 2010 —Mauell Corporation, a leader in the design and implementation of purpose-built utility control room environments, today announced a strategic partnership with Space-Time Insight. Integrating the spatio-analytics software product of Space-Time Insight with its field-proven control theater technologies, Mauell will be able to deliver a more situational aware operation.

“In our 40 years of serving the utility marketplace, we have been focused on delivering systems that match technology with operations. After seeing the Space-Time Insight product in use with customers, there was no question they had developed an extraordinary new capability in visual analytics,” said Gary Suchy, Sr, President of Mauell Corporation. “STAS permits the integration of dozens of data layers in a matter of weeks, and can be configured in the same amount of time to produce stunning graphic data correlations with custom dashboards on a GIS background; it was a natural augmentation to Mauell’s solutions. The STAS product is one of the most results-oriented software technologies I have seen in this market.” Up until the development of STI’s STAS, there were no software platforms that provided such graphical customization while having the backend firepower to manage terabytes of data simultaneously. “This is severely needed in today’s control centers and management offices.”

Space-Time Insight (STI) is a leader in geospatial visual analytics software used for crisis management, situational awareness, data correlation and enhanced operational decision support applications. The STAS architecture allows multiple backend databases to be tied to geospatial overlays promoting operational and fiscal awareness to address various challenges facing the utility industry today in the context of grid management, vegetation management, reliability reporting/planning, synchrophaser integration, renewable energy integration, smart grid solutions, and generation ramp, inventory and portfolio events.

“We are delighted to partner with Mauell Corporation in this new endeavor,” said Quentin Grady, Senior Vice-President at Space-Time Insight. “The strength of Mauell’s operational theater systems establishes a perfect environment to extract the greatest benefits from the STAS software. Mauell advocates a customer-first attitude and has an excellent reputation in its served markets. Visual analytics of operational key performance indicators has become vital component in utility companies’ IT infrastructure. Together we expect to establish new benchmarks in control room design and operation.”
