Chosen for Speed, Scale and Ease of Use to Deliver Meaningful Analysis
RADNOR, Pa. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — October 5, 2010 — QlikTech (Nasdaq: QLIK), a leading business intelligence (BI) software company, today announced that Autodesk, Inc., a world leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software, will standardize on its QlikView dashboarding capability for all BI users worldwide. Autodesk selected QlikView because it required speed and intuitive ease of use for a broad roll out to every organization and business process across the company. The QlikView enterprise solution will be pulling in data from over 30 data sets to deliver useful information to employees at all levels.
“QlikView, delivers on the promise of true business intelligence because it takes a consumer interface approach to quickly and intuitively expose data in a business context,” said Jeff Brzycki, Autodesk CIO. “We chose QlikView as our global enterprise business intelligence standard for dashboards and analysis so we can deliver a true enterprise wide self-service BI solution.”
QlikView was selected for enterprise deployment to Autodesk users around the world based on its demonstrated scalability, intuitive ease of use, and flexibility to meet complex analytics and visual dashboard requirements across the organization. In the first six weeks of using QlikView, Autodesk had 11 dashboards in use and 30 in development, identifying global strategic priorities where QlikView would be a valuable asset across departments including sales and finance. Autodesk will be consolidating over 25 years of customer and product data from multiple sources, including SAP, into the QlikView business intelligence solution, which will help give the company visibility for more strategic sales, customer service and revenue opportunities.
When put to the test in head-to-head evaluations, QlikView quickly exposes the flaws of traditional OLAP cube technology and the limitations of the recent in memory entrants that are not architected with in memory at their core. QlikView’s simple, point-and-click, associative search technology requires fewer resources, less time and lower cost to deploy and maintain for a more flexible and scalable solution.
“Autodesk is one of many recent customers that prove the value of QlikView as an enterprise solution. This is especially impactful from a company like Autodesk, a global innovator in a position to recognize the power, value and practicality of leading-edge technology,” said Tim Wassman, President of QlikTech Americas. “Autodesk is a great example of a company that is living out QlikTech’s mission to deliver valuable data to the masses.”
