June 16, 2010 -- Sun Prairie, WI—Continental Mapping Consultants, Inc. is pleased to announce that the Little Rock District of the US Army Corps of Engineers has awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) surveying and mapping services contract to a team led by Continental Mapping. The 5-year contract has a limit of $5 million and will focus on photogrammetric and land survey projects in the Little Rock District and the Corps’ Southwest Division.
“Being awarded an IDIQ contract with the Little Rock District is huge for us,” said Continental Mapping President Dave Hart. “Having two surveying and mapping contracts within the Southwest Division—one currently in place in Tulsa, and now Little Rock—is really going to allow us to serve the Corps in this area in an unprecedented way. I’m truly excited for what we can accomplish together.”
Continental Mapping’s program manager for the contract, Senior Photogrammetrist Ron Schonegg, added, “I’ve visited with the District several times and I’m looking forward to what the next few years have in store. We’ll be working on a Recovery Act task order for our first project—performing scanning and georeferencing of archived imagery from the Galveston District, which is also in the Southwest Division. That’s what is so great about these contracts—there is quite a diversity of potential work to be done, from lidar mapping to large orthophotography projects to everything in between.”
Continental Mapping is pleased to add the Little Rock District to our list of federal clients, and we look forward to serving their geospatial data development needs as a small business prime contractor. Continental Mapping plans to continue expanding our service offerings to meet the demands of our Corps clients as well as engage our large and small business partners to meet the needs of this contract.
