Applications, Technology to Highlight Pointwise User Group Meeting

FORT WORTH, TX (11 February 2010)— Presentations on topics ranging from aerospace to wind energy applications to scripting and hybrid meshing technology will highlight Pointwise’s User Group Meeting on 13-14 April in Fort Worth, TX. Speakers will focus on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) or other computational analysis for which Pointwise or Gridgen was used for meshing.

“This is an excellent opportunity for our customers to see the best projects of engineers around the world,” said Dr. Richard Matus, Pointwise vice president of sales and marketing. “The presentations will show our customers are pushing the boundaries of computational analysis using Gridgen’s T-Rex meshing and the automation capabilities in Pointwise.”

Pointwise also will introduce Gridgen’s new overset gridding capabilities and will provide training in the latest features in both Pointwise and Gridgen. The application-focused training will highlight techniques that help engineers solve real-world problems more efficiently using advanced features of both software packages.

A bonus feature at the event, which will be at the Embassy Suites Fort Worth – Downtown, will be a discussion panel of Pointwise’s senior engineers, in which attendees can ask questions and get answers about the company and its products.

Early registration discounts are offered through 5 March. Regular registration ends 31 March. Student registration discounts are available.

The meeting also will give attendees the opportunity to visit the CFD Gallery and Exhibits and learn more about how Gridgen and Pointwise complement partners’ products.
