Monrovia-based Tanner Research, Inc. is developing a dual-mode micro-seeker to cost-effectively combine a bistatic radar seeker for coarse-control with a short-range optical-based seeker for precision terminal accuracy in the endgame. Tanner's unique dual-mode seeker concept optimizes both modalities at very low-cost for use in high-density gun-and missile-launched counter-munitions applications such as the Army's Extended Area Protection System (EAPS).
