Pictometry Offering 200 Seats of Pictometry Online™ Without Cost for One Year to Gov’t Customers

ROCHESTER, NY – October 19, 2009 – Pictometry International Corp. -- the leading provider of solutions using aerial oblique imagery and measuring software – opened its 4th annual FutureView user conference today in Orlando, FL with a special announcement for all its government customers (who have previously purchased Pictometry imagery): Beginning this month, all of these Pictometry customers can apply to receive Pictometry Online™ (POL) for up to 200 users per county without charge for up to one full year.

The free seats will enable these government entities to distribute POL seats to as many as 20 users of this powerful visual information tool in each of up to 10 internal departments such as 9-1-1, GIS, Assessment, Public Safety, Planning and Development.

“Pictometry’s vision is to democratize the use of GIS via its unique information system featuring oblique imagery solutions so more users can benefit from access to the most sophisticated yet easy to use and affordable geo-spatial information available today,” said Dante Pennacchia, Pictometry’s Chief Marketing Officer.

Pictometry Online is Pictometry’s mobile, web-based deployment vehicle which enables Pictometry users to access Pictometry Intelligent Images™ (aerial oblique imagery that’s measureable) of their jurisdiction using the speed and convenience of the Internet.

The POL access not only allows county customers to see their own jurisdiction, but thanks to Pictometry’s vast national library, users also gain access to the areas surrounding the county as well, which helps with inter-county projects and shared response scenarios.

POL was designed to enable users to add pertinent GIS layers to create a comprehensive and customizable tool. Customers receiving the free seats of POL will be able to add GIS layers for a minimal cost and will receive four quarterly updates to the information without charge.
