Atlanta GA, October 5, 2009 – OneGIS is pleased to announce that it is a gold sponsor for the ESRI® Electric & Gas User Group (EGUG) Conference being held in Atlanta on October 11th – 14th. OneGIS will be featuring demonstrations of its mobile field force automation software, OneView Mobile™ in booth 315 on the exhibit floor. OneView Mobile is a work-focused, asset-centric mobile GIS application that runs as an extension to the ESRI ArcGIS® Engine platform.
OneView Mobile has three modules that can be configured in any combination. Its basic module provides low cost viewing of GIS data and work tasks in the field, the ability to run reports with its embedded Crystal Reports run-time report engine, and the ability to interface to most commercial GPS units. Its editing (Workbook) module provides the ability to add features and keep GIS data current and accurate with its attribute editor and redlining (Notes) function. The Action Framework, now included in the editing module, provides the ability to easily record or modify work order information, perform specific work-related tasks or actions and record job completions. Its routing module can route a full day’s worth of work with turn-by-turn directions or individually route to specific addresses, assets or actions as well as display the technician’s current position when attached to a GPS unit.
OneView Mobile can automate and streamline the most common field technician’s daily tasks including inspections, recording routine maintenance tasks, updating GIS asset information, performing field inventories and recording the completion of service requests. Electric and Gas utilities can configure OneView Mobile to perform industry-specific tasks such as joint use surveys, pole inspections, leak surveys, substation inspections, vegetation management, streetlight maintenance and outage response. All of this capability is presented within a clutter-free, easy to use map interface.
By running off a standard ESRI MXD file, OneView Mobile can work either in a connected or disconnected manner using standard ESRI replication and synchronization functions thus capitalizing on a company’s ESRI investment, using technology that is already known. No additional server components are required. OneView Mobile is an ideal extension for those utilities that have taken advantage of, or are considering, the ESRI Small Utility Enterprise License Agreement (SU-ELA) since it provides all the ArcGIS Engine software needed for deployment. OneView Mobile’s modules can be purchased individually, as a bundled package for all three modules or under an Enterprise Licensing Agreement, similar to ESRI’s.
Chris Cirillo, OneGIS President commented, “We are very pleased to be a gold sponsor of this year’s EGUG Conference, especially since it is being held in our home city of Atlanta. I would like to encourage anyone attending to stop by our booth and see the functionality offered by OneView Mobile first hand or just visit with us to discuss how they can get more out of their ArcGIS implementation through the many services we offer.”
