Thum’s presentation, “Spatial Statistical Methods and Advanced Visualization to Enhance Business Analytics,” will provide an overview of how multidimensional data visualization and spatial analytics can drive additional insight and understanding around business operations and improve the accuracy of forecasting and optimization.

The presentation will highlight uses of various visualization and analytical techniques (e.g., geographic regression analysis, cluster analysis/heat mapping, spatial gravity models, and time-series analysis) in support of business challenges ranging from casino gaming floor revenue optimization to retail price setting to customer marketing optimization.
