FREMONT, Calif., July 14, 2009 - ClioSoft, Inc., developer of the design data management solutions of choice for the electronics design industry, will be demonstrating its widely-installed SOS Design Data Collaboration Platform, giving a presentation with Synopsys, and hosting a poker game for charity at the Design Automation Conference (DAC), Moscone Center, San Francisco, California ( www.dac.com).
Presenting:
ClioSoft and Synopsys will be presenting "Effective Data Management for AMS Design Teams" on Tuesday, July 28 from 1:40-2:15pm in the Exhibitor Forum, North Hall, Booth 4359. This presentation covers how large and geographically dispersed AMS design teams face the challenge of collaborative DDM for semiconductor projects. A proper DDM solution must handle the design, the libraries and collateral data, and seamlessly integrate into the user's design flow. The solution presented uses Synopsys' Galaxy Custom DesignerTM mixed-signal implementation tool integrated with ClioSoft's SOS DDM platform, providing a complete OpenAccess solution to maximize team productivity.
"Our aim is to have analog and mixed-signal designers leave this presentation with some actionable ideas on how to improve team productivity through efficient design data management while also reducing respins and meeting tight design schedules," said Les Spruiell, senior product marketing manager, AMS Group at Synopsys.
Demonstrating:
ClioSoft will demonstrate the latest edition of its SOS Design Data Collaboration Platform in Booth 3651 from Monday, July 28 through Thursday, July 30th, 2009. SOS provides seamless integration with popular IC flows such as Cadence's Virtuoso® Custom IC, Mentor's ICstudio, SpringSoft's LakerTM Custom Layout Automation System and Synopsys' Galaxy Custom Designer. The SOS Enterprise Edition, with Universal DM Adaptor technology, is tailor-made to manage design data from any tool in the design flow. Hosting Poker Game:
Each DAC, ClioSoft hosts a Texas Hold 'em poker game on the hour every hour. A professional dealer explains the rules (users need no prior knowledge) and the game lasts for 20-30 minutes. The winner of each game walks away with a crisp $100 bill. Everyone is invited to come and play.
This year, on Monday afternoon at 3:00, in Booth 3651, ClioSoft will host a game for EDA editors and analysts. The winner will designate a charity of his/her choice to receive a contribution of $2000. All DAC attendees are invited to cheer on their favorite editor or analyst, as well as to take part in a game themselves in the course of the conference.
