MADISON, WI – June 29, 2009 – GeoAnalytics® Inc., an IT consulting firm that specializes in spatial intelligence systems and solutions, has been retained by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency of Planning (CMAP) to enhance “FutureView” – its GIS-Based Local Forecast Data Collection Application.
FutureView is used by CMAP personnel to facilitate the gathering, visualization, and impact analysis of future land use decisions by local government officials. Collected information supports regional comprehensive plan development and the formulation of population, household, and employment projections used in CMAP's innovative GO TO 2040 plan. CMAP's planning region encompasses seven counties in northeastern Illinois. See www.cmap.illinois.gov and www.goto2040.org for more information.
GeoAnalytics is upgrading the current FutureView application to be compatible with latest releases of Placeways, LLC's CommunityViz Scenario 360 product and ESRI’s ArcGIS Desktop technology. In addition, specific functionality is being enhanced to improve performance and usability. This will further facilitate CMAP discussions with local government officials regarding their expectations of land use, population, households, and employment for 2040.
