Integration Solution supports advanced interoperability with Smallworld GIS
June 24, 2009 -- Lakewood, Colorado – Spatial Business Systems announced the release of Version 2.0 of SWConnector, a powerful application programming interface that supports interoperability between General Electric’s Smallworld GIS and CAD, field mobility, enterprise resource planning applications as well as other industry leading GIS products.
SWConnector 2.0 includes enhanced features to support future extensions to the Autodesk FDO Provider for Smallworld including:
- Internal World support
- Support for Smallworld version management
- Support for Smallworld Design Manager
The latest release, used with the Autodesk FDO Provider for Smallworld, gives Autodesk users unparalleled access to the data and functions available in GE Smallworld. This means that Smallworld’s unique approach to version control and unique use of internal worlds can now be enjoyed by users of AutoCAD Map 3D, Autodesk Utility Design, Autodesk Topobase and Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise.
Additional enhancements to SWConnector 2.0 include support for Java, Managed C++ and C++ versions as well as enhanced configuration options for ACE, coordinate systems and database access.
