Mechdyne Announces New Release of Conduit Software for Advanced Real-Time Visualization

MARSHALLTOWN, IA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Jun 24, 2009 -- Mechdyne Corporation today announced the release of Conduit™ V2.6, its real-time graphics distribution software that seamlessly displays desktop applications in 3D stereo and virtual reality environments. Compatible with popular engineering, design and geoscience applications such as CATIA, Pro/ENGINEER, NX, 3ds Max, Maya, ESRI, Schlumberger Petrel and Google Earth, Conduit enables users to view and interact with application data with no time consuming data conversion and no resolution scaling limits. It drives graphics through PC clusters to support any advanced visualization environment, including immersive displays such as the CAVE™ and PowerWall™ and ultra-high resolution tiled projection environments.

The new release of Conduit allows users to navigate and interact with models much faster than before. Depending upon the particular data model and application, the new version of Conduit achieves a 2x to 10x improvement in performance compared to its previous version. When working with large datasets such as aerospace, automotive and large terrain models in immersive displays, interaction and analysis becomes more natural. Data review in advanced visual environments can provide new insights, foster collaboration and generate better decisions. The enhanced performance of Conduit V2.6 can accelerate and improve engineering data review sessions, which can reduce design cycles that can add up to significant cost savings and faster time to market.

"The performance boost in this new version of Conduit will enable even the most demanding graphics applications and large models to display smoothly in advanced environments," said Matt Szymanski, vice president of Mechdyne's Software Division. "We are striving to make digital models and virtual environments more interactive and realistic so users can work with them intuitively for better, faster results."

Conduit is compatible with any existing advanced visualization system and virtual reality environment. Mechdyne can also provide a complete, integrated visualization solution that includes Conduit, graphics computing and a range of display solutions. Professional services such as content creation, training and long term maintenance and technical support programs are also available.
